Minecraft is a wonderful open world game. In it you can research the seas, caves and forests, or you can build houses. Sooner or later, most players try to build something large-scale, but it all starts with a simple house that you want to decorate with something.
The first house in the game is most often a regular rectangular box. Most players, as they extract resources, want to change their home, make it more attractive. In recent versions of the game, there are many decorative blocks that make this process easier.
Building material
First of all, the house does not have to be built entirely of cobblestone or mud. These are the most accessible resources at the beginning of the game, but the buildings of them look very unassuming. It is best to build your first house from wood, and if you have a lot of cobblestone and coal, you can make stone bricks, the buildings from it look solid and beautiful.
To make stone bricks, you will need to smelt the cobblestone. To do this, open the furnace interface, put a cobblestone in the upper cell, and coal in the lower one. It is better to use several ovens at once. Place the resulting stone in the crafting (item creation) slots on the workbench or in the character's window, in order to get a stone brick, you need to occupy four cells with a square. Stone bricks can be used to simulate foundations, finish window and doorways.
The combination of stone bricks and different types of wood looks very good. Use the ax to cut down as many trees as possible. Make a "foundation" of stone bricks, and the walls of birch and oak boards, they vary quite a lot in color, and their combination looks elegant and unusual.
Decorative elements
Instead of a flat roof, build a peaked roof. To do this, you can use half-blocks of stone and wood, which will allow you to make a flatter, neat roof. To make a half-block, on a workbench, fill the bottom horizontal with materials of the same type. These can be boards, stone, brick, and so on.
Use colored glass for window decoration. To get glass, you need to melt the sand in a furnace. The glass can be painted. To do this, you need to place a dye in the central cell on the workbench (it can be obtained from flowers), and fill the rest of the blocks with glass blocks. This glass can be used in construction, or painted panels can be made. To do this, you need to fill the two lower horizontals on the workbench with blocks of material.
If there is a jungle near your house, you can cut vines there. Vines placed on a vertical wall begin to grow down over time. This allows you to decorate the house with green thickets, reminiscent of decorative ivy.
