Mass Effect 3 is the last part of the trilogy, the ending of which for most fans was an unexpected, but rather an unpleasant surprise. The game has a huge number of endings, each of which opens upon meeting a certain condition.
Mass effect 3
Mass Effect 3 offers players a whopping sixteen endings. Each of them literally differs slightly, which allows you to halve this amount, but at the same time, with three main ways. The ending of the game directly depends on two factors: the galactic readiness index and the amount of recruited military resources. As for the reputation of the protagonist, in this part of the trilogy it has absolutely no meaning. In fact, if you look closely at the plot, then the best ending is the unification of organics with synthetics - exactly what one of the main characters of this game was talking about.
Mass Effect 3 endings
In addition, the ending depends on the track the user chooses. It can be: blue ending color (left lane) - control of the reapers and death of the main character (player), green color (central lane) - unification of synthetics and organics, as well as death of the main character, red color (right lane) - destruction of absolutely everyone Synthetics, including the protagonist, Reapers, Geth and EDI. There is another denouement that was added to the Extended Cut DLC, which came from players not liking the previous endings. Shepard (the main character) shoots at the Catalyst (the character who talked about the merger of synthetics and organics) or refuses the given choice - the cycle continues.
As for the galaxy as a whole, there are as many as 8 endings provided for it. This is influenced by the amount of recruited military resources. Eventually:
- The land can be completely destroyed, regardless of the choice of the protagonist, if the player recruits less than 1750 soldiers;
- If you recruit from 1751 to 2050 warriors, then Shepard will destroy the Reapers, while the Earth and he himself will perish;
- If you dial from 2051 to 2350, then Shepard will agree to manage the Reapers, while he will sacrifice himself, but save the Earth;
- Provided that the player recruits from 2351 to 2650 warriors, then Shepard will destroy all the Reapers, and he himself will be killed. As for the Earth, in this case it will not be destroyed, but only devastated;
- Shepard can destroy the Reapers by sacrificing himself, but the Earth will be saved from destruction if you recruit from 2651 to 2800 warriors;
- From 2801 to 4000 warriors - Shepard will sacrifice himself and unite synthetics and organics;
- From 4001 to 5000 warriors - if the main character destroys the Reapers and saves Anderson, then he himself will survive;
- More than 5000 warriors - Shepard must destroy the Reapers and in this case it is not necessary to save Anderson, then he will survive.
