The original feature of the new profile from Facebook called Timeline is to place all the information posted by the user on the page in chronological order. However, despite the fact that this is a unique development, only a few users liked Timeline.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are not satisfied with the Timeline profile and want to return to the previous social network interface, remember exactly when you activated the launch. After connecting to this profile before its official launch, try to remove Timeline as an application connected to the interface. Open your web browser and type developers.facebook.com/apps in the address bar. This will take you to the Facebook app developer panel.
Step 2
On the left side of the page, find the "Edit App" section, which allows you to edit applications, and select the "Delete" function. When the Timeline was turned on, this function was still active.
Step 3
Unlike the previous option, if you switched to your Timeline profile after its official launch, the “delete” function will not work. However, you can use the extension Timelineremove, which was designed just to disable the "Chronicle". Enter the name of this extension in any search engine, go to the site with the installation file and select the type of Internet browser in which you prefer to work. Then click on the Download link and the Add button.
Step 4
Once the Timelineremove extension is installed on your computer, look in the upper right corner of your browser, find the icon representing the letter "t" and click on it. Then uncheck the box next to "Enable", and "Chronicle" will be deactivated.
Step 5
Be sure to keep an eye on any updates to the Timelineremove extension, as it only works with user profiles. Fan pages configured for the Timeline profile will still remain with the Chronicle interface. Also keep in mind that this extension is temporary. If the developer decides to close the project, it will be impossible to disable the Timeline using the extension. And in this case, all that remains is to switch to another social network.
