Step 1
First, you need to open your twitter account in a window of any browser convenient for you. Then click on the "Settings and Help" icon once. In the drop-down menu, select the line "Settings". This will open your account settings page.

On the left, there are several tabs to choose from: Account, Security and Privacy, Password, Phone, Email Notifications, Profile, Design, Applications, Widgets. You are interested in the "Account" tab. Scroll down the page and find the inscription "Delete my account", click on it once.

In the window that opens, you should click on the blue button "Delete account @ / your nickname /", after which you will be prompted to enter your current password. After that, you will receive a message that your account has been deleted. Also, this message will be duplicated to your email.

If you change your mind about deleting your account, just go to twitter within 30 days after deletion - this social network stores your account data for a month after your request to delete. In addition, if you plan to use the nickname to create another account on the Twitter social network or register a new account using the email specified in this account, then before deleting the unnecessary account, change the nickname and / or email data. Otherwise, you will not be able to use them until the account is completely deleted - for a month after deletion.

If you want to change the username or URL of your twitter account, it is not necessary to delete the account and create a new one. It is enough to go to the "Account" tab and replace them there. After changing your account information, the system will require you to enter a valid password. To change a valid e-mail, you will need not only to enter a password, but also to confirm via e-mail, and a confirmation request will be sent to the old e-mail.
