Step 1
If you only use ICQ as your messaging program, the chances of password recovery are greatly increased, since this utility is native to this protocol. When you start the program, an authorization (authentication) window appears on the screen, in which you must enter your login and password. If you previously checked the "Save password" option, you can log in with your username without any problems, therefore, changing your password will not be difficult.

Open the main menu and select "Options". Go to the "Privacy" tab and click on the "Change password" link. Here you need to fill in the fields "Enter new password" and "Enter new password again". In the latest versions of the ICQ program, you need to enter the current password, so this method is not suitable for every user.
Step 3
Go to view your profile, to do this, open the main menu and select the "Edit my data" item. Here you need to remember the contents of the E-mail line. If this line is empty, fill it in and then copy the email address.

In a new browser tab, move the cursor to the address bar and paste the following link https://www.icq.com/password/en. Press the Enter key to navigate to the URL. In the "Password recovery" block, paste the previously copied email address into the E-mail / ICQ / Mobile field. Then enter the numbers from the picture and click the "Next" button.
Step 5
On the new page, you will see the message "Check your mailbox", and below you will see a hint as to which email address you need to check, for example, b******@qip.ru. Open the mail, in the new letter you need to click on the link. On the downloaded browser page, enter the new password and its confirmation.
Step 6
Now you can return to the icq client, log in with the same username, but with a new password.
