In the daily fight against viruses and programs that can harm your computer, it is important to use the "task manager" as intended. It allows you to display a list of running processes. Among these processes, you can find not only programs that can harm you and your computer, the "task manager" shows all processes, including system ones. But the standard "task manager" does not display the detailed information you need about each process. Therefore, we will use third-party programs.
Necessary
Process Explorer software
Instructions
Step 1
Probably many of you have heard about the existence of this program. It is distinguished by an extended list of all tasks performed. For you, the most important thing is the display of detailed information about a specific process. Sometimes, some developers don't even sign the process they created. This indicates either a quick build, or the presence of a virus component in this application. The program also shows information by which you can determine the impact on the processor load, the location of this process, etc.
Step 2
The only drawback of the program is the abundance of sometimes unnecessary functions. One user installs it for the sake of the habitual shutdown of the work of processes. Another user is interested in detailed information about running processes. In any case, the program copes with our task - it displays a list of running processes. If you want to launch Process Explorer instead of the standard "task manager", i.e. by pressing the key combination Ctrl + alt="Image" + Delete (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), then click the Options menu in the running program - select the Replace Task Manager item.
Step 3
If you suspect a computer freeze or some kind of failure, feel free to open Process Explorer and search for an extra file. Any file that is not digitally signed can be suspicious. Complete with any search engine, you can determine the officiality of this file and its belonging to a particular category of programs.
