You can see how the site looks in different browser modifications, for example, at https://browsershots.org. This online application is open source and designed to provide developers with an easy-to-use tool for testing cross-browser markup of websites. Here, this procedure is absolutely free.
Instructions
Step 1
To start the process, go to the website of this online service.
Step 2
By default, the settings are already set here, but it is unlikely that you will need to check the appearance of the site, for example, in the Kazehakase version 0.5 browser running on Linux. Therefore, it is better to clear the existing settings and enter your own. There is no need to click all the checkboxes marked by default - below the four-column table of checkboxes there is a line “Selection”, the second item in which is a link with the inscription “Nothing”. Click it to remove all marks.
Step 3
After that, proceed to setting marks for the browser modifications you are interested in. They are grouped into columns for four operating systems - Linux, Windows, Mac, and BSD. Keep in mind that the more items you select, the longer the procedure will take, so it makes sense to select the most popular modifications of browsers and operating systems.
Step 4
After completing the selection, go to the settings for your chosen browsers. Below the table there are drop-down lists in which you can specify the screen resolution and the number of colors displayed in the OS of the screenshots you need. If the pages being checked use Flash, Java or JavaScript scripts, then select the required version of each of them in the corresponding drop-down lists.
Step 5
When finished with the settings, enter the page address in the field that says "Enter URL" and click the "Submit" button. Your request will be queued and several computers hosted on different servers with the settings you specified will open the specified page in their browsers and take screenshots. These images will then be uploaded to the central Browsershots servers and, as they become available, you will see links with preview images on the overview page.
Step 6
Unless you're asking for some particularly rare combination of settings for an outlandish browser, the results will start to appear in a few minutes. On the overview page, you will see a forecast - how many minutes it should take to complete all of your tasks. The time limit is also indicated here, after which the execution of your task will be terminated. But it is possible to press the button labeled "Extend" to increase the waiting period.
