Problems with displaying a page in Internet Explorer, resulting in the "The page cannot be displayed" error message, may be caused by the DNS server being unable to resolve the use of URLs.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item to fix the "The page cannot be displayed" error.
Step 2
Open the "Network Connections" node by double-clicking and call the context menu of the "Local Area Connection" element by right-clicking.
Step 3
Select Properties and find the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) item.
Step 4
Click the "Properties" button next to the found element and specify the necessary addresses of the nearest open servers (main and secondary) from the Open Root Server Confederation resource.
Step 5
Confirm the command to use the selected servers by clicking the Use the following DNS server addresses button and click OK to apply the selected changes.
Step 6
Return to the main Start menu if the page display problems persist and go to Run to perform a TCP / IP reset operation using NetShell and the specialized reset command.
Step 7
Enter cmd in the Open field and click OK to confirm the execution of the command to run the Command Prompt tool.
Step 8
Enter value
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
into the command line text box and press the function key Enter to confirm the execution of the command to overwrite keys in the system registry in the branch
System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Icpip / Parameters and
System / CurrentControlSet / Services / DHCP / Parameters.
This action will reset the TCP / IP protocol settings and restore the original protocol parameters.
Step 9
Exit the Command Prompt tool and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
