DayZ is one of the most anticipated games, but, unfortunately, after installing it and then launching it, many users encountered lags in the game, which prevent them from enjoying the process.
Many owners of low-power personal computers are still afraid to run the DayZ game on their computer. This is due to the fact that the game itself was poorly optimized, and therefore, for the owners of such weak systems, it simply did not work or various lags appeared in the game. Advanced users have found several ways to improve the optimization of the game and even run it on slower personal computers.
Changing the settings in the game
First, of course, you need to change the graphics and video display settings in the game itself. To do this, you need to turn on the game and go to the "Settings" ("Options") menu. First of all, you should set the "Visibility" indicator to the minimum value, namely less than 1000. This parameter affects the drawing distance in the game, that is, by and large, you will not lose anything.
In all other cases, you will need to sacrifice image quality, but if the desire to play DayZ is irresistible, then it is quite easy to do it. After the drawing distance, you should change the parameter "Interface resolution and 3D". In this case, it is difficult to name any specific numbers (since each has different components installed), so each user must experiment with the values in order to achieve the ideal ratio of both parameters.
The next one is "Texture Quality". Here, too, you can set the very minimum value. The difference between the values will only be visible when setting HD textures. The "quality of objects" can also be set to a minimum, especially since it changes almost nothing. Then you need to set the following indicators to a minimum: "Anti-aliasing", "V-Sync" and "Post-processing". The rest of the parameters can be set at your discretion, since they consume a minimum of system resources.
"Fine-tuning" the game DayZ
If the lags in DayZ continue, then you should use the "fine-tuning" of the game. First you need to follow the path C: / Users / Your Nick / Documents / ArmA 2 Other Profiles / YourNik and already there you will find the file YourNik. CFG. Open this file with notepad and find sceneComplexity = 500000, which should be reduced to 250,000 or less.
In addition, the AToC parameter, which is located in the ArmA2OA. CFG file, can affect the optimization of the game. By default, its value is 7. This value should be set to 0, after which the game will run without lags.
