The most important technical characteristics of an Internet connection are download speed and connection stability. It is impossible to bypass the speed limit set by your tariff plan, but it is possible to use the available access channel with maximum efficiency.

Step 1
When downloading files using the download manager, first of all, give downloads the highest possible priority. Set the number of simultaneous downloads to one. Disable torrent and other download managers that are currently active. Close all programs that might be using your internet connection to maximize the download speed possible. Open the tray and close all programs, then use the combination [ctrl] + [alt] + [delete] to bring up the process manager. Kill all processes that have the word "update" in their name - these are the processes that download updates.
Step 2
When torrenting, follow the same guidelines as in the previous step. Disable all active applications using the network connection and set the highest priority for downloads. Disable speed limiting for live downloads, then set the maximum upload speed to one kilobits per second. Do not open your browser until the download is complete.
Step 3
When surfing the web, it is necessary to disable absolutely all applications that can use the Internet, including torrents and instant messengers. Adjust your browser to minimize downloading unnecessary information. Disable loading of images, java and flash applications. Most of the Internet pages are overloaded with images and banners, so it is enough to disable their loading in order to significantly increase the page loading speed.
