A person who finds himself in the forest for a long time simply needs fire to survive. Getting fire using a lighter and matches is not particularly difficult, but without them, problems arise in the forest. However, there are many other ways to start a fire.
Necessary
- - flint;
- - first aid kit;
- - hunting cartridges;
- - knife;
- - magnifying glass;
- - bottle.
Instructions
Step 1
To make fire without matches, it is best to use a flint. A factory-made mini-flint is ideal for this, which includes all the necessary elements. If not, find a stone (preferably flint) and a metal plate (such as a knife). Use dry moss, wood dust, or gut a tinder fungus as tinder. If the weather is damp, use dry items of clothing (such as a handkerchief) or paper.
Step 2
With sharp and frequent blows of the chair on the flint, knock out a sheaf of sparks so that they fall on the tinder. Once it starts to smolder, gently add more fuel to create a small flame. After that, toss in small twigs until you have a campfire.
Step 3
If you have a first aid kit on hand, open it and remove the ammonia and iodine solution. Cut with a knife or simply find a small indentation in the wood and pour both substances into it. Wait for the alcohol to evaporate and strike the sparks. The resulting mixture will immediately ignite. If you do not have a flint, just keep this substance in the sun for a long time.
Step 4
If you have any cartridges, disassemble them and pour out the gunpowder. Mix it with dry moss or other suitable materials. Spark the powder and it will ignite, igniting the combustible material. Throwing twigs in time, you get a small fire.
Step 5
You can also get fire without matches using a lens. A magnifying glass or glasses with positive diopters (i.e. magnifying glasses) are best suited for this. In their absence, the lens can be made from a bottle or condom filled with water. Collect the tinder in a pile and focus the sun's rays on it. Keep them in focus for a long time, and the tinder will slowly light up.
Step 6
Fire can be obtained by friction. To do this, cut off the dry stick and find the wood under the base. Peel them of the bark, then sharpen the stick a little, and hollow a small depression in the log. Insert a stick there, and spread the tinder around the edges of the hole. Start rubbing your palms while rotating the stick to heat the wood. After a while, the tinder will begin to smolder from the heat generated. Fan the fire and add fuel.
