There are over two hundred items in Minecraft and a ton of activities. Some of them require special equipment and special ingredients. For practicing alchemy, for example, you need a cooking rack, for the creation of which you need a fire rod.
Instructions
Step 1
The only way to get the fire rod is to find and kill the ifrit. These monsters live exclusively in the Lower World, and only in the territory of the Hell Fortresses.
Step 2
Efreet are aggressive and very dangerous monsters. If you can, when going in search of them, take with you an enchanted golden apple, which gives the effect of fire resistance for five minutes. Otherwise, you will have to shoot efreet or efreet with a bow while dodging fireballs.
Step 3
Build a portal to the Nether, or use an already built portal. Be careful in the Nether, as it is very easy to fall into lava there.
Step 4
You need to find the Infernal Fortress. It is a natural structure made of hellish bricks. In fact, this is a very large complex of premises, most often located in the middle of a lava lake. Fortresses are created in even rows from north to south. Accordingly, the easiest way to find them is by moving in this direction.
Step 5
Once you find the fortress, be careful. Efreet, which are dangerous in themselves, do not live in its depths alone. Sometimes they are accompanied by wither skeletons, which are even more dangerous.
Step 6
If you are attacked by the efreet and the wither skeleton at the same time, dodge the attacks of the former and deal with the latter as more dangerous. Do not shoot him with a bow if he is less than 15 blocks away from you. Wither Skeletons are very fast. Surround the room with the efreet mine in solid blocks so you don't get in the way of getting ghast wands or wither skeletons.
Step 7
Efreet attack with fire projectiles (bursts of three, after which the efreet recharges for some time), which set the player on fire. Since the water in the Lower World immediately evaporates, it will not work to extinguish oneself with it. Therefore, before entering the fortress, eat the enchanted golden apple. Five minutes of fire resistance should be enough for you.
Step 8
Deal with the efreet with a bow, especially if you did not have the opportunity to take an enchanted apple with you. Ifrit's health is 20 hearts, which means you need three or four shots from a regular bow to kill this mob. Or two blows with an iron sword.
Step 9
From one ifrit after killing it, drops from 0 to 1 fire rod. It makes sense, having found a deposit of efreet, not to destroy it, but to build a portal next to it. This way you will avoid a long and unpleasant journey through the Nether world to the portal through which you entered.
