The social network "VKontakte" today unites millions of users, the bulk of which are Russian-speaking. Therefore, creating your own group on this site is a great way to unite like-minded people, quickly disseminate the necessary information and promote services. Any registered user of VKontakte can create and manage a new group. The service interface is so simple that you can figure it out in just a couple of hours.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to create a new group "VKontakte" go to your page and in the menu located on the left side, click on the line "My groups". On the tab with a list of your groups in the upper right part of the screen, find the phrase "Create a community".
Step 2
After clicking on this button you will see a form for creating a new group. Enter the name of the group in the top line of the window, and in the lower, wider part, make a small description of this community. Then click the Create Community button. Please note that you can do all titles and entries in Russian.
Step 3
After creating a new group, you will be presented with a page with its main settings. Choose those positions that fit your goals. Do not be afraid to make the wrong choice - you can open this page in the future at any time convenient for you and change all settings and descriptions.
Step 4
Pay attention to the very bottom option of the settings at the bottom of the page - this is "Group Type". By default, the "Open group" status is always set, but if you click on this button, a context menu with the "Open group", "Closed group" and "Private" functions will drop out. Descriptions of the features of these group types will appear next to the menu on the right side. Depending on your setup, select the type of group that suits you best. After all the settings are made, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
Step 5
Now your group is fully created and you can start promoting it. After saving the settings, you will be presented with a page for the still empty group. On the right side, you will see a blank space for the group avatar, and below it are the admin menu bars: Manage Group, Invite Friends, Advertise Group, Group Statistics. These options will help you manage your group and invite new members.
Step 6
In order to set the group's avatar (profile picture), click the "Upload photo" line under the conventional image of the camera, and then follow the instructions of the service. In the future, you can also add any links or documents you like to the group menu. To do this, use the appropriate options in the settings.
