Some people sometimes face the problem of congestion on Vkontakte: unnecessary posts, a cluttered list of messages, annoying ads and a bunch of albums from various applications. Removing unnecessary information manually can take a very long time, especially if you decide to completely format your account.
Instructions
Step 1
To clear your Vkontakte account, you can choose to use special scripts to quickly clear the wall, such as javascript. These scripts can be found on all sites dedicated to this social network. The found script must be copied to the address bar and press the Enter key. Make sure of the reliability of the site first and see the reviews about the program you have chosen. Most of the scripts can be used to clear information only from the My News page or from your Vkontakte wall. The script may not work for other pages. Remember that deleted recordings can no longer be recovered.
Step 2
It is best to clear dialogues manually, as they accumulate. But for this, there are also special scripts - a common way to clear all messages at the same time. In order for the script to start working, you need to enter the browser console (usually this menu is invoked with the F12 key). Next, click on the Console tab, paste the script text and press Enter. Thus, you will delete all Vkontakte messages at the same time, except for the "Favorites" section. This section is formatted manually only.
Step 3
To be able to delete all or part of the photos that you uploaded to one of the albums, you need to perform a number of operations. There is no special script for this. Auto-generated photo albums (“Photos on My Wall”) cannot be completely deleted, but if you destroy all of the photos in it, the album will disappear from the “My Photos” tab. Pictures uploaded to the wall of your profile can be deleted through the same operation of erasing posts from your wall. Then you need to remove the pictures from the Photos on My Wall album. Albums you've created can be deleted with one click. If you are not going to delete all the pictures, in the album with the necessary photos in editing mode, find the image you want to get rid of and click on the "Delete" button. After cleaning up the contents of the album, click on the "Save changes" button.
Step 4
All advertisements on the social network page appeared thanks to the use of extensions and scripts of your browser, that is, there are no advertisements in Vkontakte itself. Remove all plugins and additional browser extensions. Usually, a complete list of used extensions can be found in the corresponding tab in your browser settings. To get rid of the ads on the left, you need to disable or remove these same extensions.
