If you are not the only computer user, you need to ensure that your personal data is not available to third parties. To do this, it is worth clearing the history of the pages you viewed and saved passwords in the browser. You can delete history in the Opera browser either completely or partially.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the Opera browser and go to the general settings menu of the program. You can do this in three ways. If the main menu is displayed, click on "Tools" and then "General Settings". If the main menu is not displayed, click on the icon with the Opera symbols, located at the top left of the program. In the menu that opens, click the "Settings" item, and then "General Settings". And finally, to open the general browser settings, just press the key combination Ctrl + F12.
Step 2
Then go to the "Advanced" tab and select the "History" option located on the left side of the window that opens. Find the inscription "Clear" and click on it. It is located under the heading "Remember visited addresses for history and autocomplete." Then click on the "Ok" item.
Step 3
Go to the "History" menu. You can do this in several ways. If you have a sidebar displayed, click on the clock icon. If the main menu is displayed, click on the "Tools" item, then "History". If the main menu is not displayed, click on the item with the Opera symbol, located on the left in the upper part of the program. In the menu that opens, select the "History" option. And finally, to enter the browser history, simply press the combination Ctrl + Shift + H.
Step 4
A list will appear in front of you: "Today", "Yesterday", "This week", "This month", "Earlier". Select the option you need from it by right-clicking on it once. After that, a folder will open with a list of sites that you visited for the selected period of time using this browser. To select the sites you want to delete, use the Ctrl and Shift keys, then press Delete on your computer keyboard or on the "Delete" button located at the top of the menu.
Step 5
To clear the history in more detail, go to the "Menu", then to the "Settings" section and then "Delete personal data". A window will open in front of you, where click on the arrow next to the inscription "Detailed settings". A menu will be expanded, in which you can make detailed settings for deleting history by installing or unchecking the checkboxes.
