Step 1
First of all, you must learn about the basic principles of work. Broadcasting can take place both live and through audio streams consisting of content stored on a computer. In this case, the PC itself will be used to mix all the sources that pass through your sound card. This source can be a voice from a microphone, a music file being played, or something else. There is another option: if it is impossible to broadcast from a computer, you can also broadcast from the server (for this, you need to place files on it).

You will also need knowledge of a term such as Bitrate. All audio streams are encoded (i.e., compressed), and the given term will denote the broadcast quality of these streams. The parameter is measured in kilobytes per second and shows how much information was sent to the user. The higher this parameter is, the better, respectively, the sound quality will be. However, with a high bitrate, the requirements for your listeners, or rather, their Internet access channel, will also increase.
Step 3
To broadcast, you must install special utilities on your computer. An example of the most easy-to-use program is Winamp player. You will also need to install a plug-in called Shoutcast DSP.
Step 4
The best way to introduce your radio to listeners is with a website. Please note that it is easier to draw attention to a site that has not only good content, but also has added feedback elements, shows information about the current broadcast, playlist. You can even configure the ability to vote for individual songs and much more.
Step 5
Create a page dedicated to radio station DJs separately. Mark the programs and shows they run, their schedule. This allows listeners to come back on-air at the same time their favorite DJ is performing.
