In order to increase the level of security of your mailbox and access to your account in the social network "My World", it is recommended from time to time to change the secret question required to recover a lost or forgotten password.
Instructions
Step 1
Think about whether this time you will use the standard set of secret questions offered by the mail and social resource www.mail.ru, or come up with your own. In the second case, the likelihood of unauthorized access to your mailbox and, accordingly, your My World account is reduced. Although, of course, it all depends on how tricky the question you were able to come up with.
Step 2
Write this question and the answer to it in your diary or notebook so you don't forget. Do not under any circumstances save it on your computer (even in files that only the administrator, that is, you, has access to).
Step 3
Type in the address bar of your browser www.mail.ru, enter your username and password and enter the mail. If you have a Mail. Ru Agent connected, go to the mail directly through it (in this case, you will not need to enter your username and password again).
Step 4
Refer to the section "Password recovery" (https://e.mail.ru/cgi-bin/userinfo?). If you entered this address into the browser line, you will need to enter your password and login to access the page.
Step 5
Select one of the standard questions from the drop-down list or enter your own by selecting the item "Your question". Please enter the correct answer to the question. Check if the answer really matches the question (it is necessary so that you can immediately, if necessary, remember it).
Step 6
Enter the alphanumeric code that you see in the picture. The code must be entered in Latin letters without spaces (case does not matter). If you do not see the picture, click on the "I do not see the code" link. Check if the display of pictures is enabled in your browser (the "Tools" menu, the "Advanced" tab or similar items, depending on which browser you are using).
Step 7
To confirm the changes, enter the current password (password for accessing the mailbox). Click on the "Save" button.
