It so happens that a video file that you once liked is no longer relevant and only takes a place in the list of your favorite videos. It's okay: your favorite videos can always be deleted with just a few mouse clicks.
Deleting Favorite Videos
It should be noted that only registered users can make a list of favorite video files. Therefore, to access your favorites list, you must be logged into your profile.
Having successfully entered your username and password, on the left side of the main page you will see a list of menus: "Recommendations", "My channel", "My subscriptions" and so on. Just below the "Playlists" heading you can find the link "Featured videos" - click on it.
You will be presented with a list of videos that you have ever marked as "favorites". Each video is displayed as a line in the form of a preview picture, title, video sender and video duration. If you hover your mouse cursor over any of these lines, you will see a cross at the end of the line. After clicking on it, the unnecessary video will immediately be removed from the favorites.
Note that you cannot clear the entire favorite playlist with one click: this playlist is created automatically and cannot be deleted entirely. Therefore, you will have to "clean" it "manually" by deleting each selected file.
Attention: Before deleting a video, take your time, think well. Youtube will not clarify whether you really want to perform the selected action, and will delete it obediently, silently and quickly, without asking again. After that, it can be quite problematic to return the video that was mistakenly deleted from the favorites - you will need to search for it again through the Youtube search engine.
Privacy setting
If you want to get rid of your favorite video, not because you don’t like it, but because you don’t want subscribers to see this video in your list, do not rush to delete it - there is another way out. You can close the list of your favorites from prying eyes: for this, by clicking on "Favorite videos", find the inscription "Playlist settings" at the top in the "header" of the list and here, in the "Privacy" line, select "personal". Now the videos from this playlist are visible only to you - no other users have access to them.
Also in the upper right corner of the page, by clicking on the gear icon ("settings"), you can adjust the privacy of the channel: your subscribers will not even be able to see which video you liked. Thus, you can use the Youtube service only for your own pleasure, without fear of someone's judgment.
