Working with various catalogs is quite a fascinating process. You can design your site and place materials in such a way that it will be interesting for visitors to stay on each page for a long time. On the technical side, even a beginner shouldn't have any special problems when setting up a directory.
Instructions
Step 1
For example, the method of adding material and links to the site directory in the ucoz system is considered. Almost all modules that imply a certain type of content design are configured in a similar way, be it a site directory, a file directory, or an article directory. Log into the control panel of your site and activate the required module.
Step 2
There are two mini-tabs under the main menu. Click on the Inactive tab. Having selected the required module in the list, you will be taken to its page, click on the "Activate module" button located in the center. Switch to view active modules - the new directory will appear in the menu.
Step 3
Go to the menu of the created directory and select the "Module settings" section. When setting the necessary parameters, pay special attention to the "Fields for adding materials" section. If you want to be able to add links to the catalog, mark the appropriate item with a marker (direct link, link to the source, link to the author's website, and so on). Confirm your actions with the "Save" button. The link field itself can be renamed. To do this, use the hint in the section.
Step 4
Having configured the module, you can start directly adding material. If the material to which you link is uploaded to the site using the file manager, open it from the menu and click on the "Get link" button located in the line with the name of the material. If you uploaded content to a third-party hosting, use the link from the Share field.
Step 5
In the event that the link should lead to another resource, open the desired page and copy the link from the address bar. Paste the address into the field for adding links that you provided when configuring the module. You can use the content field to add additional links. Switch to the mode that supports bb-codes (or HTML) and style your links with the tag [https://].
