Webmasters who want to add a site to a directory most often turn to Yandex or Google. However, before entering, it is necessary to prepare the site itself (for example, work on its correct content).

Step 1
The webmaster must understand that it is first necessary to fill the site with unique content. And the main thing here is precisely the definition of "unique". The fact is that such popular systems as Yandex, Rambler or Google will not accept a resource with duplication of existing material taken from another site (even with partial, and not with full repetition). It is also not worth registering a site in which there is almost no content at all. Such pages are accepted with low priority, and therefore the robot will have to wait a long time for the next visit. Entering a resource of this level will only slow down its appearance in Yandex or Google-Catalog.
Step 2
Registration in the Yandex catalog is free. To do this, follow the link https://yaca.yandex.ru/add_free.xml. Next, a page with a questionnaire will open. Fill in the following fields: resource name, address, description, genre, site category, region, as well as the webmaster's email. After entering all the necessary data, enter the code from the picture (this is done to protect against automatic registrations). Click on the "Submit Application" button.
Step 3
The site can be added to several directories at the same time. For example, you can add your resource to the Google Directory. To do this, open the Open Directory Project page, select a section, subsection and category. At the bottom of the page there is a link "Add a site" - click on it. Provide information such as Site Description, Site URL, Title, and Email Address. Enter the confirmation code and click on the "Submit" button.
