Installing scripts on local servers has many advantages. The owner of the site can experience any actions with him, and not worry that the server will be overloaded. He has the ability to create and delete databases, he will be able to try sending requests and test other necessary actions, without fear of errors on the hosting. By the time he is ready to pay for hosting and host the site on it, all the basic settings necessary for the site have already been tested and configured.

Instructions

Step 1

Download the scripts you need to install the server (for example, you can use DataLifeEngine). However, the choice of any other script will not affect the site installation process itself. A new directory should be created in the home folder, which will have any name in Latin letters. It should be borne in mind that the names of such directories determine the names of domains when installed on a local server.

Step 2

Create a new www folder in this directory. You need to copy each script file into it. Please note that copying is required not in the folder, but in the files in it.

Step 3

Start the server. In the menu that appears after this, follow the link php My Admin, and after that - administer the My SQL DBMS. In the column "Create a new database" you need to enter the name of the new database - it can have any name consisting of Latin letters. In the "Comparison" column, select the required encoding and click on the "Create" button. The database will then be created.

Step 4

Type the name of the domain (of a specific folder created in home) in the database, and enter the install.php command after it, separated by a slash. In some cases, the command will have a different style - it depends on the specific script, and will be indicated by a special paragraph in its documentation.

Step 5

Click on the "Start installation" button and wait for the end of this process. After that, the installation of the script will be completed. All that remains is to remove the install. After that, you can type the domain name of the site, and go to it - it will become available on the local network.
