All browsers are configured to remember the history of page visits. This is done solely for your convenience. Without finishing work in the evening, in the morning you will easily get to the desired page. However, this is not always convenient. In the event that you do not want to publicly display your presence on a particular page, this service is not needed. How do I clear my browsing history?
Instructions
Step 1
The history is saved in the journal. If you do not want to delete only some specific addresses, the easiest way is to do it right in it.
Find the location of the "Journal" depending on which browser you are using. For example, in IE, it is located in the menu "View" - "Browser Bars" - "History". Once selected, it will be reflected in the sidebar. Here you will see your story for 3, 2 weeks, and the last week - by day. Find the address of the site you need, right-click on it and select "Delete" in the drop-down menu.
Step 2
The work with the "Journal" in Mozilla Firefox is much more convenient. It's located right on the menu. Select "Log" - "Show entire log".
A window will open where you can not only delete a separate address bar. Select "Manage" - "Select All" and clear history for a specific period of time.
If during this period of time you want to delete only one address, click the "Forget about this site" item in the context menu. All information about him will be deleted from history.
Step 3
It is easier to completely clear the history of frequently visited pages in the browser settings. In IE, go to Tools - Internet Options. In the General tab, find the Browsing History window. Click on the "Delete" button, select - "All".
Step 4
In Mozilla Firefox open "Tools" - "Options" - "Privacy". In the window that opens, find the line "Clear your recent history". Choose the option that suits you the most. Select "All" in the top line. By clicking the "Details" button, mark the logs and caches that you want to clear. After clicking "Clear now", your browsing history will be cleared.
