Instructions
Step 1
After logging into phpMyAdmin, select the required database in the left frame.
Step 2
If you need to clear the database from all tables along with the data they contain, then click the "Mark all" link located below the table, and then select the "Delete" line in the drop-down list with the "Marked" text. The application will ask for confirmation of the DROP TABLE request - click "Yes". After that, a table with the results of executing an SQL query to delete all tables will be loaded into the right frame.
Step 3
If you want to delete only the data contained in the tables, then, as in the previous step, you must click the "Check all" link, but select the "Clear" line in the drop-down list. Of course, for both a delete and a flush operation, you don't have to select all tables. You can only check the boxes for the tables that interest you.
Step 4
In the process of active work with the database, when many write and delete operations are performed, "garbage" remains in the tables - some of the more unused rows, indexes, etc. To unload tables from all unnecessary, the "Optimize table" option is used. To use it, you need to click "Check All" again and select this line from the drop-down list.
Step 5
If the SQL queries cause errors, then there may be some damage to the data stored by the SQL server about the structure and indexing of the database tables. In this case, by clicking the "Check all" link, you need to select the "Restore table" item in the drop-down list.
