Most e-books are written in the Fb2 format, which is supported by smartphones, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices. To read a book written in Fb2 format, you must install one of the programs developed for the device you are using.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to open the Fb2 file on a Windows computer, install one of the following programs: Cool Reader, FBReader, HaaliReader, ICE Book Reader Professional, STDU Viewer, or any similar program. You can download programs on numerous software portals of the Russian Internet (for example www.softodrom.ru, www.softportal.ru and others)
Step 2
To read books on a mobile device from Apple, you can install one of the following applications from the AppStore: i2Reader, ShortBook and others.
Step 3
For Android devices, the FBReaderJ, Foliant or Aldiko apps are available and can be downloaded and installed from the Android Market, Amazon Appstore and other sources.
Step 4
To read books in Fb2 format on Nokia smartphones, install the Foliant or ZXReader application from the Nokia Ovi Store.
Step 5
Depending on the type of device and the selected application, the method of downloading books to the application will differ. For some programs, you will need to connect your smartphone to your computer, while others are able to open Fb2 files that were previously downloaded to the smartphone. Most applications have a function to search and download Fb2 files from the Internet.
