A fifth of the domain names registered in the RU zone are released after the expiration of the period paid by the owner. Among the domains that have become no-property, there are also those that are of commercial value in themselves. Among them there are names of interest only to one or a few people. Depending on the demand for a particular domain, it can remain free from a few seconds to infinity.
Instructions
Step 1
Find information about the domain you need, accessible through the special protocol WHOIS. This can be done on any site of the domain registrar company - there you will receive, in particular, information about the expiration date of the paid registration period. After this date, the process of removing this domain name from the database of registered names begins. This process provides for a rather long transitional period (up to two months), during which it will be impossible to re-register the domain to the new owner. You can also get information about the end of this period using the WHOIS protocol.
Step 2
Wait until the end of the procedure for removing a domain from the list of registered names, and then register it for yourself. This can be done independently by regularly checking the current information about the status of the domain of interest or using specialized services. Most of the registrar companies provide services for "intercepting" the released domains - they themselves (using the appropriate scripts) can track the current status of the domain name and register it automatically in a few seconds after the final removal from the database.
Step 3
Read the terms of the domain hijacking service before making a request in it. Some of these services put up for auction all domains intercepted by application, that is, after the fulfillment of your order, you will have to compete financially with someone (sometimes with the interception service itself) who also wants to get the domain you need. Other services do without auctions, that is, the domain name goes to the one who was the first to apply for its registration upon release.
