Sometimes users of wireless networks need to find out the password for their Wi-Fi if the system has stopped connecting to the Internet automatically. There are several ways to solve this problem.
Instructions
Step 1
Read carefully the documents that the provider gave you when drawing up an Internet connection agreement in order to find out the password for your Wi-Fi. Often, in addition to the login and password for a wired connection, the contract or warranty card for a modem or router contains data for a wireless connection. If the wireless connection was set up by a company specialist without your participation, call the provider's technical support and, after giving the contract number, ask for the username and password for Wi-Fi.
Step 2
You can find out the default Wi-Fi password. Usually, such information is indicated in the instructions for the router or on the device manufacturer's website. If you can't remember your wireless password, you can reset it and set a new one. To do this, enter the settings of the modem or router by entering the special address specified in the manufacturer's instructions into the browser line. In the menu that appears, go to the Wi-Fi or Wireless Connection section. Set a new password in the corresponding field.
Step 3
If the system asks for the old password before changing it to a new one, the only way out is to perform a full reset of the current settings and return them to the default ones. To do this, find the "Reset" or Reset option in the parameters of the modem or router. Further, as soon as the operation is completed, you will be prompted to set new parameters for both wired and wireless Internet connections.
Step 4
You can recover the password from your Wi-Fi using the Airocrack program, which is freely available on the Internet. Run the program, go to the "Interface Type" section and select the model of your network adapter. Start the key selection service and wait a while, then end the program. After that, start the Airodump service, specify the MAC-filter and the network address of the modem or router. Now move the files created in the previous step to the Airocrack window. This way you can find the right Wi-Fi password, but if the key is complex enough, the guessing process can take a long time.
