It is customary to call an avatar a small picture chosen by the user to complement his personal profile. Any static or animated image can serve as such a thumbnail picture. To see your avatar, you need to take a few steps.
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to find out which avatar you have installed on a particular site, open the required Internet page and log in. You will then have access to your personal data. Very often, after authorization, your chosen avatar and nickname are immediately displayed at the top of the site. If you haven't seen them, open your profile.
Step 2
Pages with information about you may be called differently on different sites. Somewhere it is "Personal Account", somewhere - "Control Panel". Find a suitable button or link-string and click on it. They are often located at the top of the page.
Step 3
Find the section "Settings" ("Personal data", "Profile"). Select from the available categories the item "Change avatar" ("Avatar", "View avatar"). When the corresponding page loads, you will see the thumbnail image that is currently in use.
Step 4
To view your avatar in email, please log into your inbox. Using the Yandex service as an example: in the upper right part of the window, click on the "Settings" link. From the available sections, select "Sender Information" by clicking on the line with the left mouse button. You will be taken to the page for editing personal data. Your avatar will be on the right side of the window under the My Portrait category.
Step 5
Thumbnails are often used in programs designed to communicate with other users. So, to see your chosen avatar in the QIP application, just open any message box. The avatar will be located at the bottom of the window, below the text entry field.
Step 6
To change or delete it, click on the button with the letter "i" - "Show / change my data". In the left part of the window that opens, the selected avatar will be shown in close-up. Click on the button "Load icon" or "Remove icon" located under the thumbnail, save the changes.
