If you noticed, the name of local disks cannot be renamed. They are called “Local disk D:”, “Local disk E:”. In order to deal with this problem, you need to look at the root of the problem: look at the root of any disk. You will see a folder that you definitely did not create - Autorun.inf. As a rule, such a folder is created by the system user or any malicious program. The creation of such a folder prevents the pest program from copying such a folder.

But that was on systems released before Windows Seven. In this system, the procedure for autoloading any object from the hard disk has undergone many changes, so Autorun.inf is used to display all the attributes of the disk. To find this folder, you must enable the display of hidden items in the system: click the "Start" menu - select "Control Panel" - "Folder Options" - "View" tab.

After the Autorun.inf folder becomes visible to you, rename it or simply delete it. Reboot your computer. Go to "Computer" and rename any of the available hard disk partitions. If problems arise in the system after renaming one of the partitions, use System Restore.
