Step 1
The title (name) of the mailbox is displayed in the title of an open window of any version of Outlook. This name can be changed regardless of the program version, since some use multiple mailboxes at the same time. At one time, Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator was used to solve this problem. But later it turned out that the utility contained an error. When replacing the old name with a new one only in the program, the mailbox name in Outlook remained the same.

Therefore, in addition to replacing the mail name on the server, it is necessary to replace it in the program itself. It should be noted that renaming the mailbox name in Outlook must be performed after a similar operation on the server (using Microsoft Exchange).

Start the computer with the required account; if necessary, enter the password. Then close the mail program.

Click the "Start" menu and select the "Control Panel" section. If this section does not appear in me, go to its settings. To do this, right-click on the "Start" button and select "Properties". Find the "Control Panel" option in the menu settings and check the box next to it. Click the Apply and OK buttons to close the window.

In the window that opens, double-click on the "Mail" or "Fax and Mail" icon (depending on the operating system). In the window that opens, click the "Show Profiles" button.

Select the profile to be edited and in its settings click the "Exchange Server" button, then click the "Properties" button again. In the "Mailbox" block, specify its new name. To check the correctness of the entered name, press the button of the same name. Click the "Apply" button to save the changes.
