Vkontakte is a social network created primarily for communication and exchange of information with relatives and friends, as well as for finding new acquaintances. If you want your interlocutors to see your name written in English letters, you can write your full name in Latin.

Instructions
Step 1
Go to your VKontakte page. To do this, open the vk.com website in your browser. On the top left, in the window that opens, enter your e-mail or phone number that you used to register in this social network”; write your password and click the "Login" button.
Step 2
Analyze if you need to change the spelling of your name from Russian to English. Most often, the Russian name is indicated in the native alphabet. However, if you are chatting with foreign friends, you can write your name in English. It is also better to indicate a foreign name in Latin, especially if it contains letters that have no analogues in Russian.
Step 3
At the top left of the page, next to the "My Page" item, there is the "edit" command. Click it to edit your first and last name. A window with your personal data will open in front of you.
Step 4
Delete the entries in the First Name and Last Name fields. To do this, activate the corresponding fields one by one with the left mouse button, and then use the "Delete" or "Backspace" keys.
Step 5
Change the input language from Russian to English. This is usually done with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift or Alt + Shift. You can also select the alphabet you want from the taskbar. Click on the "RU" button with the left mouse button, after that a list of languages that have been assigned to the language panel will pop up. Click on the "EN English" option. After that, the text you are typing will be written in Latin letters.
Step 6
Activate the Name field with a mouse click. Enter your data there in English letters. Fill in the "Surname" field in the same way. Even if your name contains letters that look the same in Russian and English, use only the Latin layout for printing. Otherwise, it will not be possible to find you through the "Search" function. Some letters of the Russian alphabet have no analogues in the English language. To avoid confusion with the reading of your name, it is better to write your full name as it is indicated in your passport. Or you can use the transliteration rules that are offered in the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 310 dated 1997-26-05.
Step 7
Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. Now your name is written "VKontakte" in English letters. It will be displayed on your home page, in your correspondence, as well as in the news feed of your friends, if you leave any notes on the wall or change your status. Despite the fact that now your name is written in English letters, you can be found through the "Search" function, even if the request was created using the Russian alphabet.
