Among the free electronic libraries there are those that provide their services lawfully. They may specialize in books that have passed into the public domain, distributed under free licenses, or provided by authors for use only within the site.

Step 1
Paid electronic library "Liters" provides its users with the opportunity to read some works online for free. This allows you to make a decision to buy a book for further reading on mobile devices without Internet access. After selecting a work on the site, next to the cover sketch of which there is a link "Read", click on this link, and "Liters: Reader" will open in a separate browser tab. Its design and operation are periodically changed to prevent unauthorized copying of texts and their transfer to pirated libraries.
Step 2
The Wikisource site contains materials that are in the public domain, as well as intended for distribution under free licenses. In addition, it contains documents that are not objects of copyright in general, in particular, some legislative acts. To search for a book or other text, enter a key phrase in the Search box, and then click the magnifying glass button. You can also find material through the table of contents. And on the left side of the homepage is a list of the languages in which Wikisource is available.
Step 3
Project Gutenberg focuses primarily on foreign literature that has entered the public domain. To find a book, enter a key phrase in the Search book catalog field, and then press the Enter key. To search the table of contents, go to the Online Catalog link.
Step 4
In the "KnigaFond" library, all materials are divided into two categories: those that have passed into the public domain and published under the terms of contracts with the authors. Reading any books is carried out through the Flash-applet, therefore, the Flash Player must be installed on the computer. Public domain books can be read through this applet for free, while others can be read for a flat monthly subscription. Be sure to register on the resource, otherwise you will not be able to access even free books.
