IRC is designed as a protocol for real-time messaging. It allows you to communicate with whole groups, there is also the ability to exchange personal messages and files. An IRC channel is created directly on the server after the registration procedure through the protocol client.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install an IRC chat software. Among all the clients, it is worth noting mIRC, Kvirc, X-Chat and Trillian. For mobile devices, there is also a wide variety of applications for different platforms.
Step 2
Find a list of IRC servers on the Internet and select the one that best suits you. Be guided by the location of the server and its subject.
Step 3
Run the installed program and enter the following query in the command line: / server server_address.

If the selected resource requires registration, write: / msg q hello your_email your_email. E-mail is typed twice. If the request is successful, a registration message will appear on the screen, and a letter with a username and password will be sent to you. In the client command line, enter another request: / msg server AUTH login password.
Step 5
A message about successful authorization will be displayed on the monitor. To create a channel, enter the command: / join # name. Please note that the name should not be duplicated on the server. A channel is created if its name is not repeated. Otherwise, you will enter a conversation that someone has already created.
Step 6
Next, you need to register using the request: / msg chanserv register channel_name password description. In "description" you can specify the topic of your channel, the password is indicated by visitors when entering the conversation. It is desirable to indicate the name in Latin letters and it must match the name specified in the / join command. After creation, the "@" sign is assigned to your nickname and you have the right to manage user categories.
