Step 1
Torrent forums and sites provide the ability to quickly and free download information to the user's computer. At the same time, the ratio of downloaded and uploaded information is monitored: in order to have access to new torrents, you need to distribute files already on your computer. Accordingly, each user is interested in downloading and distributing as many megabytes as possible, and this directly depends on the speed of the torrent client.
Step 2
As with any other operation that takes place over the Internet, Bittorrent's speed depends on the speed of the network connection. Make sure your ISP provides the required connection speed. Otherwise, you will have to change your tariff plan or even the service provider company. Check that the network is free of interference and temporary interruptions. To find out the real speed of your connection, use the site https://www.speedtest.net/, having previously disabled all torrent trackers and similar applications.
Step 3
Using Bittorrent, you download files not from the site, but from the computers of specific users, so the speed of their incoming and outgoing connections also depends on the speed of your torrent tracker.
Step 4
Configure Bittorrent to work correctly. Open the program and click on the "Settings" button on the top toolbar. In the window that opens, select the "Speed" section. Here is the Global Rate Limit Options section. Check the boxes in the "Apply restriction to service traffic" and "Apply restriction to uTP connections" functions.
Step 5
Proceed to the next section of settings. In the window that opens, you will see a lot of graphs for customization. You don't need to understand their meaning. Make sure that only the following options are checked: “Enable DHT network”, “Enable DHT for new torrents”, “Enable. speed control”,“Enable support for UPD trackers”,“Enable peer sharing”. If unnamed function lines have "flags", remove them.
Step 6
Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons to save the changes to the settings. Restart Bittorrent and the new settings will start adjusting the tracker.
