Step 1
First of all, you need to make sure that your PC is currently free of viruses. Launch your antivirus and let it do a good job. If viruses are found - remove them, if your PC is clean - go to the next step.
Step 2
Turn off antiviruses, firewalls, torrent clients, and all other network programs on your PC.
Step 3
Right-click on the network connection "Status" - this will give you the opportunity to check the network activity. If you see that the number of received / sent packets is stable, everything is in order. If their number is constantly growing, it means that a virus is still in your PC, or some network program is still running.
Step 4
Go to the Yandex website, go to the "I'm on the Internet!" Service page, then click the "Measure speed" button. Wait a little, and you will see what the speed of your Internet connection is at the moment.
