Step 1
Launch any web browser and enter the address of the ICQ official website, namely www.icq.com/ru. Enter your email address, mobile phone number or ICQ number. Check your email inbox, you should receive an email with a link to reset your old password and set a new one. If your UIN was not linked during registration to a mobile phone number or to a mailbox, the password recovery system will display a message like this: "You cannot recover your password."

Open the letter from the ICQ service about changing the password for accessing your account. Follow the link in the letter. A page will open, on which enter the new ICQ password twice and click "Finish". The password must consist of 6-8 Latin characters. The system will inform you that the password has been successfully changed and you can enter the messenger with the new password.

Another case is if you do not remember your ICQ password, but it is saved and you can log into your account. Go to the link https://iicq.ru/soft/icq-password-remover/ and download the program for "pulling out" the password from under the "asterisks". Install this application and launch it. After starting the program will find the folder with the installed ICQ on its own. If not, specify the path manually. With a high probability, you will recover the hidden password from the UIN.

It is also possible that you will not receive a password, but a long code, for example F8DEC25FFD07CB38B87DF95088301024. This is an MD5-hashed password, in this form it is saved by the programs of the QIP family. It can be decrypted using online services. Find them will help search for the query "Decrypt MD5-hash".
