It is necessary

  • - site on the Wordpress platform;
  • - PhpMyAdmin software.

Instructions

Step 1

There are many advantages to building a website locally that are familiar to almost any webmaster. But the presence of such a drawback makes this method of creation impractical - password recovery without binding to e-mail will make you seriously break your head, but still there are ways out of this situation.

Step 2

After an unsuccessful attempt to log into the admin panel, try going to the PhpMyAdmin utility. On the main page, select the name of the database that you created. Let's imagine this is Baza +. You need to open the wp_users table from the list on the left side of the window.

Step 3

Click the Browse tab to see a list of all registered users. If you are the only one working on your project, there will be one line of your account at the bottom of the page. Please note that there is a password opposite the login, however, it is encrypted. But you have the option to change it.

Step 4

In the line with the password, click on the pencil icon. In the window that opens, you can change absolutely any values, including the password. To do this, go to the user_pass line, select MD5 in the Function column, and enter a new password in the Value column. To save the resulting results, select "Save" and press the Enter key.

Step 5

There is also another, alternative way to change the password. To do this, you need to go to PhpMyAdmin again. Select the database and export it to the hard drive by clicking the corresponding button.

Step 6

Open this file with any text editor. Scroll with the mouse wheel to the very bottom of the document, find the block with users. Opposite the name of the admin line, you will see the encrypted password. Replace it with your own, later it will be encrypted again.

Step 7

Save the database file and import the data. Now you can log into the admin panel using your username (admin by default) and the newly created password.
