In both business and personal correspondence, from time to time it becomes necessary to send an email after the moment of creation. The procedure for configuring deferred sending of letters is simple, but not all Internet mail services provide this opportunity. In particular, the popular mail service mail.ru does not have the necessary functionality.
Instructions
Step 1
Configuring delayed email sending in Yandex mail
Fill in all the fields of the form for creating a letter in the Yandex mail service and attach the necessary files. The button for sending a letter is located under the link for attaching files, highlighted in yellow and divided into two unequal parts, "Send" and a timer sign. Click on the timer icon, a contextual field “send today at XX: 00” will open. Check this box and set the desired date and time.
The date can be changed by clicking on the word "today", a calendar will appear where you can select the month and day. By analogy, the field with time is edited. The timer runs from 5:00 to 23:00 at intervals of one hour. The Yandex mail system provides its users with the ability to set up deferred sending of a letter for 1 year from the date of its creation.
After setting the date and time, the submit button will change according to the new parameters. Click on it to save the letter and the set time of sending in the "Outbox" folder. Optionally, you can create a separate folder for deferred letters.
Step 2
Set up delayed email sending in Gmail
There is no deferred email feature preinstalled in Google's mail system. To get this opportunity, download and install the Boomerang for Gmail plugin. There are versions of the Boomerang for Gmail plugin for Chrome and Firefox browsers. After installing this extension, a new link will appear in the window for creating a letter - "Send later". Click on it, a context menu will open, in which you can select a period - after 1 hour, after 2 hours, after 4 hours, tomorrow morning, tomorrow afternoon, after 2 days or 4 days, after a week or two, and also after a month, - or set the exact date and time of sending the email using the timer, which is located below the list of periods. Press the "Confirm" button and save the letter with the specified parameters.
