The world famous social network Facebook has launched a new service that allows its users to search for friends nearby. The service function is called Find Friends Nearby and is available both through the web interface and through the applications of Android and iOS mobile devices.
The feature uses the geolocation capabilities of users' mobile devices to track their location. As soon as your friends appear near you, Facebook will send you a notification about it. Naturally, in this case, the mobile application for you and your friends must be activated. In this way, you can easily and effectively meet your acquaintances while in the same place. This is very convenient for those who are constantly busy and can hardly find time for communication and meeting with friends. And also for those who love unexpected meetings.
In addition, the Find Friends Nearby app allows you to see unfamiliar Facebook users who are nearby. It may well help you make new friends. For example, it will become an occasion to start a conversation with a girl you like or meet a nice young man. Also, if you just met someone, with the help of the new service you can quickly and efficiently find your new friend on Facebook.
To start using the new service, log into your Facebook account and additionally register on the Find Friends Nearby platform. To do this, on your account page, sequentially select the tabs "Menu", "Applications", "Find Friends", "Other Tools", "Find Friends Nearby". Then log in following the prompts of the system. In the future, opening the page "Find friends nearby", you will always see the nearby users.
If your smartphone or mobile phone does not have a GPS locator, you can still share your location with all users. In your news feed, select the "Check In" tab. From the list of places that appears, select where you are. If the required place is not in the list, enter it yourself in the "Search for places" field. You can add a comment to the label made in this way. For example, indicate what you are currently doing. As soon as you touch the "Post" button, all your friends will see this information.
