If ISPs still haven't made it to your home, cellular operators can help you get online. Today the leading ones: Megafon, MTS, Beeline, Skylink offer GSM modems under their own brand. The wireless Internet provider Yota can also help you, but only if you live in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Krasnodar, Sochi or in some localities of the Moscow and Leningrad regions.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a USB modem after finding out which mobile operator provides the best coverage in your area. It is desirable that 3G networks that provide the highest speed can operate in your area.
Step 2
Insert the included SIM card into the modem. The SIM card works according to a special tariff plan for the Internet. You cannot connect to this tariff plan without purchasing a modem.
Step 3
Plug the modem into a USB port on your computer. The installation of the modem application will start automatically. Proceed as prompted by the installer.
Step 4
After the program is installed, if it does not start automatically, click on its shortcut on the desktop to launch it. After starting the modem application, pay attention to the network indicator in the program window (it should show the presence of a network) and click the "Connect" button. If you have a Beeline modem, then you must first activate the start balance through the program menu.
Step 5
Launch a browser or any other internet application.
