InetBench can be used to measure the connection to specific target sites. The testing takes into account the download speed of graphics, music, sounds, video. Another application, Internet Connection Benchmark, allows you to measure the speed while the Internet is being used. She herself can generate traffic and you can set the site with which you want to check the connection. This utility differs from others in that it gives out not only the maximum value, but also the average performance, which makes it possible to more adequately assess the channel's capabilities.
Step 3
If the speed is lower than the one officially indicated by the provider, then you can use a special online Internet package M-lab, which comes with 4 utilities. Most noteworthy is the Network diagnostic tool subroutine, as a universal means of identifying the cause of too low a speed. After starting the test, all channel parameters and the reasons for the packet delay will be indicated.
