Step 1

Disconnecting your computer from the network is a prerequisite before removing a network connection. Let's take a look at some of the ways to terminate the connection to the network.

Sequentially select the following items "Start" (Start), "Settings" (Settings), "Control Panel" (Control Panel), "Network Connections" (Network Connections). The Network Connections window displays all connections for this computer. Select the required connection with the right mouse button and click “Disable” in the opened context menu. After a while, this connection will become inactive.

If a local area connection icon is displayed in the notification area, right-click it. In the menu that opens, click "Disable". After a while, the current connection will become inactive.

Step 4

The easiest and fastest way to disconnect your computer from the network is to disconnect the network cable from the connector on the network card. A "Network cable not connected" message appears and the computer is disconnected from the network.

Step 5

After disconnecting the computer from the network, you can proceed to remove the network. Double-click the right mouse button to select the connection you just disconnected. This will open the properties window for this connection. It displays the name of the network card through which the connection was organized, the components used by this connection, a description of these components, and other information.

Step 6

To remove the selected connection, in the connection properties window, click the "Uninstall" button. The selected LAN connection will be deleted.
