At the same time, everyone has the opportunity to share something with other people and create their own broadcasting point on the network. If you decide to create your own internet radio, you have two options, depending on the purpose of your project.

Instructions

Step 1

If you have serious plans and want to get the most out of your radio, the more complex option is for you. A simpler broadcasting option is suitable for those who do not have serious requirements for their point.

Step 2

In order for broadcasting from your computer to be uninterrupted and of high quality, make sure that your Internet channel is high speed. You will also need a mixing console and a server to operate the radio point.

Step 3

For most novice internet radio owners, the easiest way to create a radio hotspot is suitable. Install the latest version of Winamp and also install SHOUTcast DSP Plug-in and SHOUTcast Server from Nullsoft.

Step 4

After installing the server, go to the appropriate folder in Program Files and find the sc_serv.ini file. Open it with notepad and edit several parameters: MaxUser - the number of radio listeners, Password - the password for editing, PortBase - 8000.

Step 5

After that, open Winamp and press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P. Select DSP / Effect and find Nullsoft SHOUT cast Source DSP v1.9.0 in it. In the window that appears, go to the Output tab and specify the IP of your computer. Set the port to 8000, and set the password to the same as in the server file.

Step 6

Check the box Automatic Reconnection on Connection Failure and set a five-second delay for connection to the server. Click on the YellowPages button and describe the radio station - add information about the broadcasting point, enter the name, address, genre, your contact information.

Step 7

Now go to the Encoder tab and set mono / stereo as the broadcast format. Then set the bitrate and broadcast speed. In the Input tab, specify the broadcast source - you can use Winamp as the source.

Step 8

You can use a variety of broadcast-optimizing features - Open Mixer opens the system mixer, Push to Talk lets you talk along with the music you're playing, Mic Level controls the volume of your microphone, and so on.

Step 9

Turn on the installed server, in Winamp open the Output tab and click Connect. The station is ready. To check if it works, start Windows Media Player and enter the following in the Add URL section: https:// localhost: 8000. Replace localhost with your IP address. If everything is done correctly, the player will connect to the radio station.
