In the beginning, creating and setting up your own radio broadcast was difficult. Deep knowledge of programming and other computer skills were required. Step 1
To start broadcasting, first of all, you need to register on the free hosting fmhost.me, which was created for Internet radio stations. Registration is no different from other sites and will not cause difficulty even for a beginner. After you receive an email confirming your registration, you need to follow the link and go to your profile.
Step 2
In the profile, find the column "My radio stations", enter the name and password for the broadcast, then click "Create". Once you have done this, go to the "Radio Station Management" and rewrite the name of the stream to your own. It is necessary to rewrite it, since the name is automatically generated by the system and contains only a five-digit number.
Step 3
The next step is to install the Radioboss program on your home computer by downloading the free version from the radioboss.ru website. This version is available for evaluation for the first fifty launches, which will last no more than five hours in a row. Pay attention to the paid version of the program if you want to continue broadcasting further.
Step 4
Now run the program and go to the settings menu. Here you need to configure only three tabs: broadcast, playback, microphone. In the "Broadcasting" tab, check the "Enable broadcasting" checkbox. Next, find the pencil icon on the right and add the name of your server - “fmhost.me:7777/my_radio” (where my_radio is the name of your stream). Be sure to enter your password in the appropriate line. If the computer was connected to the Internet, the message “active” will appear.
Step 5
Then go to the "Playback" tab and change the parameters there. Select the “no sound” device in the “Main Output” table and mark this device as default. In the frame "2nd output (wiretapping)" put your sound card with the device. In the "Microphone" tab, select your device and adjust the volume of the music during a call.
Step 6
If you did everything correctly, an inscription will appear that the connection has occurred, and the “Broadcasting” button will be active. All that remains is to set a list of the desired broadcast music in mp3 format with correctly configured tags. After that, you can start broadcasting on the Internet and send the link to your radio to friends and acquaintances.
