For many years, the Yandex search engine has provided users with the ability to quickly, easily, and most importantly, completely free of charge, stir their sites on their hosting narod.ru. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular free hosting services in Russia.

Step 1
In order to place your website on Yandex, or rather on its free hosting narod.ru, you must register on the narod.ru website.
Step 2
The best way to move your site's files is to use a file manager like Windows Commander. After starting the file manager, we are looking for the "Connect to FTP server" button.
Step 3
In the form that opens, the fields will be empty, and in order to configure the connection, click on the "add" button, after which another form will appear with the connection parameters.
Step 4
In the field "Title" we write the name of the site to make it easier for you to remember.
Step 5
In the "Address (Port)" field, write the address of our server ftp.narod.ru.
Step 6
In the field "Account" we register your username on "people", which is at the same time part of the site's domain. For example, the site has the address alex.narod.ru, login - Alex.
Step 7
In the "Password" field, enter your password to enter the server, entered during registration. It is desirable to use symbols in it together with letters and numbers.
Step 8
In the "Local directory" field, write the path to the folder on your computer that contains the site files. Click OK.
Step 9
Close the connection parameters window. After that, a new connection should appear in the connections window. Select it and click on the "Connect" button. In one of the panels of the file manager, the contents of the folder with your site's files on the hard drive will be displayed, and in the second, the contents of your site's directory on the server, which does not yet contain files.
Step 10
Once the connection is established, you can upload files to the server by selecting them with the mouse and dragging them from one panel to another, just like when working with files on a hard disk.
Step 11
After downloading all the files, you can go to the site by typing the domain you received during registration in the address bar, and if you managed to host your site on Yandex, you will see it in the browser window.
Step 12
In order for your site to be displayed for search queries in Yandex, a special program must index it. To do this, you need to use the "Report a new site" service by clicking on the appropriate link and entering the URL of your site in the field that opens.
