Configuring the Corbina Internet connection is quite different in different versions of the Windows operating system, but in all cases it is carried out using standard system tools. In this case, the XP version is considered.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Settings" item. Expand the Control Panel link and expand the Network Connections node. Run the New Connection Wizard tool and skip the first window by clicking Next. Apply the checkbox in the line "Connect to the network at the workplace" in the second window of the wizard and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Next" button.
Step 2
Select the checkbox in the line "Connect to virtual private network" in the next dialog box and save the change by clicking the "Next" button. Type Corbina in the Organization line of the new wizard dialog box and confirm your choice by clicking Next. Apply the checkbox in the "Do not dial the number for preliminary connection" field in the next dialog box and apply the change made by clicking the "Next" button again. Type vpn.corbina.ru in the line "Computer name …" in the next window of the wizard and save the change by clicking the "Next" button.
Step 3
Click the "Finish" button in the final window of the New Connection Wizard and open the context menu of the created connection by clicking the right mouse button. Specify the "Properties" item and go to the "Options" tab of the dialog box that opens. Apply the check boxes in the lines "Display verification code" and "Prompt for name, password, certificate, etc.". Select the "Security" tab and apply the checkbox in the "Advanced (custom settings)" line. Click the "Options" button and select the "Optional" option in the "Data encryption" field. Use the "Allow the following protocols" command and mark the checkbox in the "Chap only" line.
Step 4
Go to the "Network" tab and select the PPTP VPN item in the drop-down list of the "VPN type" line. Make sure the check box is selected in the "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" section of the "Components Used by this Connection" section and click the "General" tab. Apply the checkboxes in the "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" lines and save the changes by clicking the OK button.
