Users of instant messengers decide for themselves whether to save correspondence in general and with certain contacts in particular. Sometimes it is necessary to recall an excerpt from a dialogue with one of your acquaintances in order to find a link to a website or a phone number.
It is necessary
- Computer with internet connection;
- Installed messenger (any).
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to the messenger using your username and password. When a window with a list of contacts appears, activate it by clicking the left button. Find the Settings menu and open (if the word itself is not there, look for the icon with drawn screwdrivers and other tools).
Step 2
In the window that appears, open the "History" tab with the left mouse button. Make sure that the history is kept (is there a check mark in front of the line "Keep message history"). Review the options below, up to the line "History storage path". Click on it with the mouse, select and copy.
Step 3
Open the My Computer folder. Select the address bar, delete the address and paste the path copied from the history settings. Press enter.
Step 4
Find and open the folder with the name of the desired contact. Open the file with the date and time of the conversation.
