Step 1
It should be noted right away that the user has the ability to delete the history of messages not only with a specific interlocutor, but also with all people from the contact list at once. All this is done with a few clicks of the mouse, and the actions themselves do not require any specific skills from a person. Let's consider each of the methods for deleting message history using a separate example.
Step 2
Delete message history with a specific interlocutor. After you launch the ICQ program on your computer, you need to log in and wait for the application to be fully downloaded. The main application window will appear on the desktop, where a list of your contacts will be displayed. In this window you need to click on the "Menu" button, which you will see at its top. By clicking on this button, you will see a list of all possible actions with the program. Among the general list of actions, you need to click on the "History" item. After you do this, you will see the history window of all messages.
Step 3
Now you just need to find the nickname of the contact whose message history you want to delete. To delete the archive of correspondence, click on the desired nickname and click on the trash can icon located in the right part of the window.
Step 4
If you want to delete the entire message history at once, you need to follow the same steps that were previously described in the second step. The only difference is that in the history section you will need to click on the "All contacts" button. By clicking this button, click on the basket icon that appears on the right side of the window. After this action, the entire history of the correspondence will be erased.
