The main rule for optimizing network access, regardless of the task at hand, is to minimize the number of programs using the network connection. These include download managers, torrent clients, instant messengers, and web browsers. In addition, these include programs that can download updates or download them at the moment. Disable both those applications that are in the taskbar and those that are in the tray. Launch the task manager to control their completion using the processes tab. After completing this step, use one of the following options, depending on the task at hand.
Step 2
When working with information on the network, disable downloading of images, as well as java and flash applications. Thus, you will reduce the weight of the loaded pages by fifty to sixty percent and, accordingly, speed up their loading. When watching a movie online, it is recommended not to open additional tabs until the media is fully loaded. The same goes for listening to music. If you periodically need to surf the web while downloading files, use the Opera mini browser - it reduces the amount of downloaded information by eighty to ninety percent. It was originally intended for use on mobile phones, so take care of installing a java emulator before using it.
Step 3
When downloading a file using the download manager, set the limit on the number of simultaneous downloads so that their maximum number is equal to one. Set it to the highest priority by removing the speed limit, if it is set.

When using a torrent client, adjust the maximum number of concurrent downloads so that it is equal to one. Select all files located in the working area of the program, then remove the speed limit for downloads, if it is set, then set the maximum priority for them. Also set a speed limit for downloads - no more than one kilobit per second. This will allow you to make the most of the internet speed at your disposal.
