Step 1
Decide what your resource is about. The choice of theme can be influenced by two key factors: whether the site will be an Internet support of the company, or whether you make it as an independent element. In the first case, the design and content of the website depends on the concept and corporate identity of the existing business. In the second, it depends on whether you are going to monetize your site. Monetization (generating income) is increasingly becoming the primary reason for the decision to create a website. It assumes a resource with a large number of pages and high traffic. Whereas the site "for the soul" may not be so great.

Choose the CMS (engine, platform) on which the website will be built. As a rule, resources that have more functionality (for example, in addition to the main content, they may contain directories, forums, etc.), choose Drupal or Joomla! Websites based on blog-style content are best done in WordPress. Of course, none of the platforms can compare with the serious self-written engines that professional developers write for their projects. But for the first site, free CMS is enough.

Choose a domain and hosting for your website. Before choosing a domain, decide which of the domain zones suits you best. The difference between them is insignificant, but it is still there. For example, the ".ru" zone is ours, Russian, while ".com" is the leading western domain zone. ". Biz" was originally created for commercial sites, and the Cyrillic zone ".рф" is very promising, but at the moment it is not fully indexed by search engines. When choosing a hosting, give preference to providers with sufficient capacity and providing a full range of services. In particular, those who back up all resources on a daily basis. In the event of an accidental failure, you will appreciate how important it is.
Step 4
Submit your site on the Internet. The CMS described above are intuitive to operate. No additional knowledge is required to build a simple website. But you need to design the resource. Of course, you can choose from hundreds of templates available in the public domain. But if you show a little perseverance and creativity, you can make your own good template using one of the graphic editors that make this kind of work easier.
Step 5
Fill your website with unique content. You should not use texts and photos taken from other resources. And it's not just (or rather, not so much) in copyright infringement. It's just that search robots have learned very well to recognize such content. For future indexing, it may not be of the best service.
