In Minecraft, one of the most important survival factors is light, due to the fact that aggressive monsters do not appear in bright rooms, but friendly ones, on the contrary, tend to light. The easiest way to provide yourself with light is to make enough torches. Torches can be crafted from wood and coal. Therefore, coal mining is one of the main tasks of the hero.
Instructions
Step 1
There are two ways to get coal. The first is to get it with a pickaxe, but if you have just started playing and do not see coal ore coming to the surface in the vicinity (it is the most common ore in the game), you should not go underground to get it without a set of torches and normal tools. There remains the second way to get coal - a stove and wood.
Step 2
In any case, first of all, get four or five blocks of wood from the nearest tree, make boards from them by placing them in the character window in one of the four crafting slots (crafting is creating items). From the two planks you get, make eight sticks. To do this, place the boards one above the other in the crafting window; two boards make four sticks. You will need them to create an ax and a pickaxe. With an ax you will get a tree, and with a pickax you will get a cobblestone for a stove. Place four more boards in a square to make a workbench. Unlike the four crafting slots in the character window, the workbench provides nine, which allows you to craft a tool.
Step 3
Open the workbench and make the tools. For a pickaxe, occupy the upper horizontal with the boards and place two sticks vertically in the center, the ax is the same two sticks vertically and three boards occupying the corner.
Step 4
Collect eight cobblestone blocks with a pickaxe, create a stove - place eight cobblestone blocks on the workbench, leaving a hole in the center.
Step 5
Cut down a few trees, process some of the wood blocks into planks, you will use them as fuel. Open the stove interface, put as many boards as possible in the bottom slot, and wood in the top slot. Wait a while until the wood turns to charcoal. It differs from the usual only in name.
Step 6
After receiving some coal, make torches from sticks and coal, located on top of each other in the craft, make a pickaxe from sticks and cobblestones. Go with a torch and a pickaxe to search and mine coal ore in the nearest cave, but do not dig too deep. When exploring the caves, take some wood with you. After mining enough coal, you can make torches on site.
Step 7
With enough torches and pickaxes, coal is very easy to mine, since coal ore is found in large veins at any height, so there will be enough in any cave.
